“Mindfulness, self-compassion, and attachment theory are the cornerstones for trusting your intuitive caregiving wisdom".
Why should you make mindful awareness and self-compassion part of your daily life as a parent?
Mindful Awareness supports secure parent-child attachment relationships.
Mindful Awareness is a trainable skill and has many benefits for parental wellbeing.
Mindfulness is integral to noticing relationship disconnections with your children.
Self-compassion helps to repair relationship disconnections with your children.
Mindfulness helps you be present for the joys of parenting and meet the suffering with compassion.
Mindful Awareness helps you to accurately read the non-verbal cues and signals of your children throughout their development (i.e., needs differ in early childhood, middle childhood and adolescence).
Both mindfulness and self-compassion support emotional regulation, nervous system balance and renewed parenting confidence.
Knowing how to mindfully repair relationship disconnections with your children is highly protective of their long-term security.
Mindful awareness of your child's exploration and attachment needs and self-compassionate relationship repair are the keys that unlock 'good enough parenting'.

Wiseheart Compass Philosophy
Wisdom Compassion Guidance
At Wiseheart Compass, we believe that every caregiver—whether parent or professional—carries the wisdom and capacity to nurture secure and meaningful relationships. Through evidence-informed programs like Mindful Awareness Parenting (MAP™) Time-in
and The Welcome Mat™, we empower caregivers to reconnect with their confidence, compassion, and intuition. Relationship repair with mindfulness and
self-compassion is at the heart of what we do.
TheWiseheart Compass programs are not therapeutic in nature, but offer guidance, practical tools, coaching and science backed education to support caregivers within the general population to build secure relationships with their children.
Cultural Respect
Acknowledgement of Country
I respectfully acknowledge the Barngarla, Nauo, Wirungu and Mirning people as the Traditional Owners of the land on which I live and work, on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. Growing up here has deepened my respect for this country—including bushland, waterways, native plants, and animals—and for the cultural wisdom and connection of the Traditional Owners. I honour their enduring ties to land, waters, and community, and pay my respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
