NEW! online group training opportunity

Are you ready to include yourself in

the circle of care?

The Welcome Mat

Where Child & Family Support Professionals Find Balance in Their Own Parenting Journey.

An 8-week online program for therapists, teachers & health professionals carrying both

professional expertise

and

parental responsibility

(birth to 18 years).

Protect the security of your own parent-child relationship using mindful repair practices throughout their development.

EARLY CHILDHOOD

MIDDLE CHILDHOOD

ADOLESCENCE

Do you worry that your work gets the best of you, and your own children get the emotional leftovers?

Here, you are not judged, manipulated

or asked to be more.

You are invited to

"come home to yourself"

and

"good enough parenting".

The Welcome Mat approach:

This isn't just theoretical. Drawing on years of work educating family support professionals, I will guide you through practical applications of:

 • Mindfulness practices tailored for the professional-parent context.

 • Self-compassion techniques that acknowledge your specialised knowledge.

• Interpersonal neurobiology frameworks that make sense of your dual roles.

• Attachment-based strategies to maintain relationship security while setting necessary boundaries.

These aren't abstract concepts, but real tools that have made a difference for me and the professionals I've worked with.

You will develop personalised regulation plans, ethical care strategies for burnout prevention, and relationship repair practices that work both at home and in your professional setting.

What You Will Experience:

Across 8 weeks together we will navigate the unique challenges of carrying both roles; and shift from structural self-sacrifice, guilt, perfectionism and emotional exhaustion;

to being at peace with good-enough parenting and showing up in both roles with more ease, confidence, and playfulness.

here, You Will:

• Explore how to separate professional knowledge from parental intuition.

• Develop practical strategies for managing the emotional load of dual caregiving roles.

• Create personalised approaches that honour both your professional expertise and your parenting reality.

• Build a supportive community that acknowledges the unique challenges you face.

How it works:

I have designed this program to fit into your already full life:

 • 60-minute weekly group sessions

(recorded if you can't attend live).

• 30-60 minutes of self-paced learning broken into bite-sized modules (5-15 minutes each).

• Group support in a private learning portal between sessions.

• A daily self-connection practice

(30-45 minutes, 6 days/week).
