The Welcome Mat program is a compassionate space for the tender, complex and unique circumstances of parents who also provide professional support services for children and families.
Here, you are not judged, manipulated
or asked to be more.
Your expertise and knowledge is respected, honoured and celebrated.
I understand the emotional energy required for professional care work, the associated home tension and worry that your own children are not getting the best version of you.
Together we will practice evidence based mindfulness using the Mindful Awareness Parenting (MAP) Time-in protocol online for 8 weeks.
Mindfulness is safer and easier to practice in community!
The Welcome Mat program offers a path for sustainable, ethical and devoted caregiving;
for yourself, your own children
and the families you serve.
Compassionate and wise guidance to deepen
your inner resources and navigate
societal complexity.
Honour your professional calling and your personal caregiving with
wholehearted presence, delight and playfulness.
The Welcome Mat offers a compassionate and ethical container to support your natural caregiving wisdom and professional knowledge.

Family Support Professionals* that provide services for children, parents and families within their professional roles AND have parenting responsibilities (caregiving for children birth-18 years). Professionals with young adult children or adult children with disability interested are encouraged to enquire as the training may still be relevant to your circumstances.
* Family Support Professionals = registered therapists, counsellors, teachers, student support officer, child care workers, mental health workers and allied health professionals (i.e., physiotherapists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers), and health professionals (GPs, nurses, paediatricians, child and adolescent psychiatrists).
This psychoeducational and experiential training program is perfect for dedicated care professionals who long to find security within both professional & parenting life, and be supported to wisely navigate the societal pressure to sacrifice their own wellbeing. It can be a dangerous journey to go it alone (note well: both interpersonal neuroscience, ethics of care and the hard won wisdom of lived experience inform this bold statement).
This small online group container will be life-changing for you if you are highly motivated to include yourself within an ethical circle of caregiving support.
For clarity, The Welcome Mat educational program is not a psychology service or therapeutic intervention. If you are currently experiencing acute psychological distress or mental health symptoms we recommend individual support with a registered practitioner.
