NEW! online live group training opportunity with

Dr Rebecca Coleman

The Welcome Mat program offers a path for sustainable, ethical and grounded caregiving - for yourself, your own children and the families you serve.

THE WELCOME MAT:

COMING HOME TO WHOLENESS.

Where child and family support professionals find balance in their own parenting journey.

A soft place to land - for those who care,

at work and home.

A compassionate 8-week "live online" journey designed for the unique caregiving load of therapists, teachers & health professionals carrying both

professional expertise

and

parental responsibility

(birth to 18 years).

The Welcome Mat integrates mindful awareness,

self-compassion and relational repair within a holding environment of ethical care.

The Welcome Mat program is a compassionate space for the tender, complex and unique circumstances of parents who also provide professional support services for children and families.

Here, you are not judged, manipulated

or asked to be more.

Your expertise and knowledge is respected, honoured and celebrated.

I understand the emotional energy required for professional care work, the associated home tension and worry that your own children are not getting the best version of you.

The WISEHEART COMPASS ETHICAL CARE FRAMEWORK:

The Welcome Mat has been built from many years of educating family support professionals, lived experience as a Clinical Psychologist and my devotion as a parent of two precious children (now young adults).

Based on my own observations, experience and feedback from past participants, I developed the "Wiseheart Compass Ethical Care Framework" to safely guide you through the practical application of:

 • Mindfulness practice tailored for the professional-parent context.

 • Self-compassion practice that acknowledges your specialised knowledge and double emotional caregiving load.

• Interpersonal neurobiology frameworks that make sense of your dual roles with support for practical application.

• Attachment theory, mindfulness and self-compassion integration to maintain relationship security (self and others) while setting necessary midful boundaries (at work and home).

You will not receive messaging designed to make you feel like the problem rests with you, or your lack of capacity to "take better care of yourself " ! However, you will be invited to conduct a compassionate time audit that honours your reality, and aligns with your values.

I understand from lived experience that societal structures lacking in ethical caregiving system principles make it very difficult 'not' to sacrifice our own wellbeing.

You will be compassionately supported to develop personalised regulation plans, ethical care strategies for burnout prevention, and relationship repair practices that work both at home and in your professional setting.

What You Will Experience:

Across the 8 weeks together we will practice integrated mindfulness, self-compassion and relational repair skills.

You will feel held within an ethical care environment and supported to wisely navigate;

Guilt and worry

towards

Peace of mind and heart

Emotional Overwhelm

towards

Confidence in relational repair

Self-doubt and perfectionism

towards

Trust your Essential Wholeness & Good Enough Parenting.

You are invited to

"come home to wholeness"

at work and home.

here, You Will:

• Explore how to separate professional knowledge from parental intuition.

• Develop practical strategies for managing the emotional load of dual caregiving roles.

• Create personalised approaches that honour both your professional expertise and your parenting reality.

• Build an ethical and supportive caregiving community that acknowledges the unique emotional demands that you face.

How it works:

I have designed this program to fit into your already full life:

(recorded if you can't attend live).

FAQ image

WHO IS THE WELCOME MAT PROGRAM IDEAL FOR?

  • This psychoeducational and experiential training program is perfect for dedicated care professionals who long to find security within both professional & parenting life, and be supported to wisely navigate the societal pressure to sacrifice their own wellbeing. It can be a dangerous journey to go it alone (note well: both interpersonal neuroscience, ethics of care and the hard won wisdom of lived experience inform this bold statement).

  • This small online group container will be life-changing for you if you are highly motivated to include yourself within an ethical circle of caregiving support.

  • For clarity, The Welcome Mat educational program is not a psychology service or therapeutic intervention. If you are currently experiencing acute psychological distress or mental health symptoms we recommend individual support with a registered practitioner.
