For over three decades, I've walked alongside parents and professionals in their journey toward more mindful, compassionate and secure relationships.
What began as Mindful Awareness Parenting (MAP™) Time-in has naturally evolved into something deeper; a recognition that the intersection of personal parenting and professional practice creates a unique space where both wisdom and challenges emerge.
My work has always been grounded in three core principles:
mindfulness practice, compassionate responses, and relational repair. These foundations remain unchanged as Wiseheart Compass expands to address the specific needs of those who both parent and support other families professionally.
The MAP Time-In approach that I developed in 2008 helped countless parents create moments of connection and repair during challenging parenting moments.
Now, I am extending this same principle to professionals who need their own "Time-In"; a space to acknowledge the emotional complexity of carrying both personal and professional caregiving responsibilities.
The Welcome Mat, my newest program, isn't a departure from my previous work, it's the natural next step. It creates a dedicated space for those standing at this intersection, offering the same evidence-informed and compassionate guidance that has always characterised my approach, but tailored to address the unique challenges of this dual role.
When professionals who also parent apply MAP™ Time-in principles within their own families, they often discover tensions between their professional knowledge and personal practice.
The Welcome Mat acknowledges these tensions and transforms them into opportunities for deeper integration and authenticity.
My previous work provided the foundation; teaching the skills of mindful presence, self-compassionate response, and relational repair.
This new direction simply recognises that these skills require unique support when applied across both personal and professional contexts.
If you've found value in my previous programs, this evolution offers you an opportunity to deepen your practice in a community that understands your specific journey.
The same thoughtful, evidence informed approach that guided Mindful Awareness Parenting (MAP)™ Time-In now extends to address the full spectrum of your caregiving experience; both at home and in your professional practice.

Acknowledgement of Country
I respectfully acknowledge the Barngarla, Nauo, Wirungu and Mirning people as the Traditional Owners of the land on which I live and work, on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia.
Growing up here has deepened my respect for this country, the bushland, waterways, native plants and animals.
I am in awe of the Traditional Owners of this country, and their enduring ties to land, waters, and community, and pay my respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
"Always was, Always will Be, Aboriginal Land".
